Our dogs have their own unique personalities and talents and are great companions. When we feel that some of our dogs are not the best fit with us (anymore), we are always open to rehoming the dogs when the right home comes along. This could be for several reasons.
At some point the senior age comes along and it’s time for them to retire from active dogsledding. Some will stay with us but for others we feel it would be best for them to have a loving family where they can have all the attention and spend their resting days on the couch and walking in the forest.
Besides the older dogs we also have some youngsters who have shown us they have other talents than dogsledding. They would be happier with a loving and active family.
We want to make sure the dogs go to the right home so we will invest time in seeing if it is the right match. That includes visits. Once the match is made, these dogs need some time and patience to adjust to their new family. Some things to consider when you adopt one of our dogs:
That means that these dogs need training and patience to adjust to their new homes.
Please contact us at info@huskydreams.com or give us a call if you are interested in one of our dogs and let us know why you think your home could be a could match. Or contact us if you have any questions.
All dogs below are full Alaskan Huskies.
Ben
Ben is a 4 year old (born 24/08/19) male Alaskan husky even though he looks a little bit like a pittbul. He has excellent drawing lines but is not a star at pulling. After some kilometers he slows down the teams which tells us it’s not his thing. Therefore we think he would suit better with an active person who takes him on walks/ hikes or even short ski and sled rides. He is social with other dogs and people.
